* The Pilot's interior is versatile, with roomy rear seats; no shortage of clever storage solutions; ride is smooth and compliant in most conditions; better fuel economy than rivals; all-wheel-drive system handles poor weather with ease; high-tech safety features are available on most trims. • This is a great SUV.

I purchased a new Pilot EX-L for my wife in Feb. It has 2400 miles on it now. I was a bit reluctant to purchase a Pilot after reading the negative comments - poor engine power, bad handling, bad infotainment system, etc. , from some owners on this site. We also looked at the Edge and Highlander; however my wife wanted the Pilot because it drove and handled more like a car than a truck. And Im really glad she did. At 280 HP, the engine smooth, quiet, and has plenty of power. I also think the handling is quite exceptional for a large SUV. My wife claims the voice command and music off her i phone works great. The Pilot is one of the most comfortable vehicles Ive ridden in and it has loads of room. The only negativeI can find is the power tailgate doesnt fit perfectly. The seam on the left side is almost a 1/16th of an inch wider than the seam on the right side. This is an anomaly because the fit and finish inside and out on the rest of the Pilot is perfect. I highly recommend the Pilot if you are looking for an SUV this size.

We bought a Honda Pilot based on the features for the price and the reliability and longevity of the Brand. Unfortunately, we have had nothing but problems with our Pilot, starting with intermittent power steering issues and a faulty alternator at 10,000 miles. Multiple check engine lights resulting in a new catalytic convert at 20,000 mile as well as a faulty radiator fan that came loose on the freeway splitting the radiator. At this point we had owned the car 18 months and request that Honda buy it back as it clearly had issues during the manufacturing process, Honda refused stating that there was nothing wrong with the car, putting profits before people. Now 28 months into car ownership at 46,000 miles the car had to be towed to the dealer and now I am told that I need to replace the whole fuel injection system, that this repair is out of warranty and will cost $1600. In all my years owning cars I have had to have more work done and replaced parts I have never had to replace on similar cars from different brands with well over 100,000 miles on them. Paired the lack of customer service from Honda of America, I would have to warn anyone considering this car to purchase to beware!

New 2018 Pilot does what I wanted until winter came. No heat while idling. Vent temperatures from fully warmed-up engine was measured at 28°F by Honda mechanics. They claim this is 'normal'. I need a SUV for all 4 seasons therefore the poor rating.
